SEQURA REWARDS PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Welcome to the Rewards Program of SeQura Worldwide, S.A. (“SeQura”) (the “Terms” or the “Rewards Program Terms”). In these Terms, you will find a clear and simple explanation of how you can earn, use, and enjoy your rewards.

Participation in this Rewards Program implies your full and express acceptance of these Terms, as well as the:

The Rewards Program is provided as a feature inherent to the SeQura App, so if you are not interested in benefiting from our rewards, in any of their forms, you simply do not need to use them while browsing the App.

Remember that, to start enjoying the benefits of the Rewards Program, you will need to be registered as a user in our App. Make sure you have cookies enabled and follow the purchase flow from the App without technical interruptions, so that the rewards are assigned correctly.

1. WHAT IS THE SEQURA REWARDS PROGRAM?

Through this Program, SeQura aims to reward the loyalty of its customers who make their purchases through the App or finance their purchases on the merchant's checkout page or in the merchant's physical store by applying the flexible payment solutions offered by SeQura.

Through the Rewards Program, we want to reward you in different ways:

2. REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE REWARDS PROGRAM

For you to benefit from our Rewards Program, you need to:

When you use your rewards, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information provided is truthful and up-to-date. SeQura may verify your identity at any time if it deems it necessary.

3. WHAT ARE SEQURA “QOINS”?

When you make your purchases with us, you accumulate Qoins (“Qoins”). Qoins are the points of our Rewards Program. Think of Qoins as your rewards balance within SeQura. They are not money, nor crypto assets, nor a digital asset or a means of payment, nor are they electronic money. Qoins are SeQura points that serve to convert your activity in the App into real advantages for you, so that when you shop through the App, you also win.

Qoins are personal and non-transferable and may not be sold, transferred, exchanged, or assigned to other App Users and/or third parties.

Qoins are rewards that SeQura offers voluntarily and can be modified or cancelled at any time. Qoins can only be used and redeemed within the SeQura App or on the merchant's checkout page when you decide to finance your purchase with SeQura (provided this functionality is available), in accordance with the provisions of these Terms.

You can earn Qoins in different ways and, as a general rule, you will receive them in the App through a Surprise Box, in accordance with the provisions of these Terms.

Qoins will not be given for purchases made from merchants in the education vertical, nor for purchases made using a payment method from a SeQura competitor.

4. HOW CAN I GET QOINS?

At SeQura you always have Qoins you can earn:

In the App, you will see, before purchasing, how much Cashback (whether in Qoins or BTC) you can earn by shopping at each merchant. The Cashback you can earn may vary depending on the merchant or even the type of product or service you are going to buy within the same merchant. For more information, consult the specific conditions of each merchant within the App.

As a general rule, we apply the rule of 1 Qoin = 1 euro of Cashback on the ticket amount (excluding VAT and shipping costs). The balance is calculated in whole numbers, rounding down. The accumulated Qoins are calculated on the final ticket amount after deducting previously redeemed Qoins (if you have chosen the Cashback in Qoins program) and any other concurrent discount, sale, or promotion on that purchase.

As a general rule, Qoins will not accumulate for discounted products. But it may be allowed, on a case-by-case basis and depending on the merchant, to accumulate and redeem Qoins during sale periods and promotions.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, SeQura may, at any time and at its sole discretion, modify the 1 Qoin = 1 € formula in accordance with these Terms.

Your Qoins will appear as “available” when we have been able to verify your purchase with the merchant and the return process of the purchase subject to Cashback has expired; this process may take up to 60 days to process. In cases like “SeQura Travel” your Cashback will be subject to specific conditions.

Since the purpose of this Rewards Program is to reward your loyalty, SeQura will not grant rewards to users for those purchases made using payment methods or forms offered by SeQura competitors that offer other flexible payment methods.

Remember, if you close your User account or your Qoins expire, you lose them and can no longer use them.

5. DO QOINS EXPIRE?

Yes. Your Qoins automatically expire twelve (12) months from the date you earn them. In your profile in the App, you will see the details and expiry dates.

6. HOW DOES CASHBACK WORK AT SEQURA?

When we talk about “Cashback”, we mean that by shopping with SeQura, you also win. As you can see, in many of the purchases you make through the App, you can earn Cashback. Above the merchant logos, you will see what Cashback you can earn with each purchase.

In the App, you can choose between two different Cashback programs:

  1. Cashback in Qoins Program: Cashback is received in the form of a discount on your next purchase with SeQura (for more information, please read Annex II).
  2. Cashback in Bitcoins (BTC) Program: if you opt for Bitcoins and activate this Cashback option in the App, when you have accumulated a sufficient balance of Qoins, you can redeem the equivalent balance in Qoins for Bitcoins, which you will receive in your own wallet (for more information, please read Annex III).

It is important for you to know that although you can see the Cashback in BTC in the App, in the SeQura environment we only operate with Qoins, the difference is that Cashback in Qoins is redeemed as a discount on your next purchase and Cashback in Bitcoins is where Qoins are redeemed for Bitcoins at the end of the process and if favorable conditions for it are met.

The redemption of Qoins for Bitcoins (BTC) is carried out outside the SeQura ecosystem, directly to your wallet, through crypto asset service providers (CASP) licensed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 (the “MiCA Regulation” or “MiCA”) or operating under the transitional regime provided for in article 143. SeQura may work with one or more CASPs at any time. We do not custody your crypto assets, we do not act as a wallet or as a custodian, and we do not make BTC transfers on your behalf. For more information, please read Annex III of these Terms.

How can I change the Cashback program?

To receive your Cashback in Bitcoins, you will have to expressly configure it in the App profile, otherwise, we will apply your Cashback in Qoins by default.

Currently, it will only be possible to have one active Cashback option. Once you have chosen to receive your Cashback in BTC (thus omitting the Cashback in Qoins program which is set by default for all App users), you will not be able to switch back to the other Cashback program. We are working to allow you to switch from one program to another, but in this version of the application, both programs cannot coexist.

In the future, we want you to be able to change Cashback programs 1 time per year, free of charge, and from the second change, we will apply a cost of 1€ (ONE EURO) per change. This cost will be charged to your payment card associated with your personal profile account in the App.

When do we pause your Cashback?

To protect those who honor their commitments with us, if you have outstanding debts or defaults with SeQura, your redemption will always be paused and you will not be able to benefit from Cashback until you regularize your situation with us. Keep in mind that this usage block does not affect the expiry period of the Qoins, which will continue to advance.

Furthermore, if you have an outstanding debt with SeQura under a separate signed agreement, and that sum is overdue without us being able to recover it, through the Rewards Program, SeQura may deduct the amounts owed from your account to settle those outstanding balances at that time. This set-off aims to limit users who have outstanding debts with us from benefiting and redeeming Qoins or obtaining Rewards, without first having regularized their payment situation with SeQura.

7. WHAT HAPPENS IF I MAKE CHANGES AND/OR RETURNS ON MY PURCHASES?

The assignment of Cashback is conditioned on the validity of the purchase you have made. If you return totally or partially and/or cancel a purchase that generated Cashback or with which you used or redeemed Qoins, we will adjust your Qoins balance according to the returned amount. If your Qoins are not enough for the adjustment, you will see a negative balance. Don't worry, you can compensate for it with future Qoins.

8. YOUR CONTROL PANEL IN THE APP

In the App, you will see your total Qoins balance, the history of Qoins assigned, redeemed, expired, and cancelled, and the status of your purchases and rewards. The status of your Qoins may change depending on the current stage:

For us to assign Qoins correctly, make sure you have cookies enabled and follow the purchase flow from the App without technical interruptions, which may prevent SeQura from correctly tracking your activity and purchases made in or through the App. SeQura cannot guarantee that the assignment of Qoins can be carried out correctly in all transactions, and by accepting these Terms you acknowledge that there may be technical failures that affect the tracking and assignment of your Qoins. If a problem arises with the assignment of Qoins, contact support and we will try to resolve it.

9. CASHBACK IN “SEQURA TRAVEL”

When you book your trips (flights and hotels) through the App in the “SeQura Travel” section, you can earn Cashback, subject to the conditions set out below.

Cashback will be calculated in accordance with the general rule of this Rewards Program (general rule: 1 Qoin = €1), and its availability will be subject to purchase verification and the usual operational timeframes until it reaches the “Available” status, which, as a general rule, may take up to 60 days, except in specific cases. The allocation of Cashback is conditional on the validity of the purchase you have made.

In Travel, you will only receive cashback for purchases made through the App using the following payment method: single card payment. Purchases financed in instalments with SeQura will not generate cashback, nor will purchases made through the sequra.travel website.

When you make a single payment with your payment card, your cashback will appear as available on the same day the service starts (departure date/first service), once the purchase has been verified and provided that no effective cancellation is recorded. Until then, your Qoins will remain in “Processing” status or an equivalent status.

These specific rules for SeQura Travel supplement the general rules of this Rewards Program relating to adjustments for changes or cancellations, pauses due to non-payment, Qoins expiry, and technical tracking requirements (for example, cookies and identifiers), all of which remain fully applicable. If a partial/total cancellation or refund occurs with the Travel Provider, we will adjust your Qoin balance proportionally; if you have overdue payments with SeQura, the release/redemption will be paused; and if you disable cookies or technical frictions occur, the allocation of Qoins may be affected.

Please note that in the SeQura Travel section you browse and contract with third parties unrelated to SeQura, within an environment technically operated by RewardWave until you are redirected to the Travel Provider (as these terms are defined in the App’s Terms of Use). Commercial conditions, cancellations, refunds, and the performance of the travel service are governed by your direct relationship with the Travel Provider. These particularities do not alter the rules of the Rewards Program; they only adjust the timing of cashback release depending on the nature of the booking and the payment method. If you withdraw from or cancel the purchase that gave you the right to Cashback within the legal period offered by the Travel Provider, your Cashback will be cancelled.

10. RESPONSIBLE USE

To keep the Rewards Program fair for everyone, it is not allowed to:

If we detect misuse, SeQura may suspend your account and revert those Qoins and even block your access to SeQura.

SeQura reserves the right to take the measures it deems necessary if it detects fraudulent behaviour or behaviour that may appear to be so, or if it understands that you are not making correct use of the advantages of the Rewards Program or the SeQura App.

Any loss of Qoins that occurs upon closing your account will be permanent, regardless of whether you close the account or we do.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  1. Within the SeQura environment, you will only have Qoins (Q coins), SeQura's points. Qoins are not crypto assets, nor physical or digital money, they are simply points of the Rewards Program and are only useful and you can enjoy their advantages within the SeQura App. Although on the screens you can see the balance of your Qoins in their value in Euros, or their potential reference value in BTC at that time, remember that what you have in the SeQura App environment are Qoins, the points of our Rewards Program.
  2. SeQura does not guarantee that you will receive Qoins for all your purchases or that the Qoins will always be the same; they may vary depending on the type of product or service you purchase.
  3. SeQura does not guarantee that the Rewards Program will be free of errors or interruptions. Nor is it responsible for possible losses derived from technical problems beyond its control or unfulfilled expectations.
  4. Qoins are delivered “as is”, without any express or implied guarantee of availability or operation.
  5. Obtaining or using Qoins does not grant you any rights against SeQura.
  6. SeQura is not responsible if at any time you cannot redeem your Qoins.
  7. SeQura does not provide services or activities regulated under MiCA. SeQura does not custody or manage Bitcoins on behalf of clients nor does it transfer them. SeQura will only request the authorized provider to transfer Bitcoins to your wallet. All activity related to Bitcoins is carried out outside the SeQura ecosystem and in collaboration with authorized third parties.
  8. The transfer of BTC will be subject to the terms and conditions provided in Annex III and to the technical availability of the crypto asset service provider that carries out the transfer.
  9. Once you have received your bitcoins, SeQura will not be responsible for what you do with them, they are already yours.

12. CHANGES TO THE PROGRAM

We may modify this Program to keep it useful for you and sustainable for us. The modifications will take effect from the date of their publication. If you do not agree with the new Terms, you can stop using the Rewards, not benefit from the Cashback and/or, if you prefer, close your account in the App.

14. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

This Rewards Program is governed by Spanish law. If a conflict arises at any time, the courts of your domicile will be competent. We prefer that everything be resolved by talking, so we will try to help you first through support.

 

ANNEX I: SURPRISE BOXES (LOOT BOXES)

1. WHAT ARE SURPRISE BOXES AND HOW DO I GET THEM?

Surprise Boxes are virtual boxes that you can find and/or receive through the App by:

The content of the Surprise Boxes is random. Inside you can find Qoins (which you can see in the form of Qoin or BTC), discounts, or other prizes (such as discount vouchers, tickets for shows or matches, or even an iPhone, etc).

The surprises are random and not all Surprise Boxes have a prize. There may be empty boxes.

Within the framework of specific promotional campaigns by SeQura, you may also find physical prizes or discount vouchers inside the Surprise Boxes. These rewards will be governed by their own legal bases and will be complemented by the provisions of these Terms.

To open a Surprise Box, it will be an essential requirement to have downloaded the SeQura App and be registered as a user.

2. DID I WIN AN IPHONE BY OPENING A BOX?

Each calendar month, regardless of the promotional campaigns that SeQura has in force at any time, one of the Surprise Boxes may contain a special prize: instead of Qoins, you may win an iPhone. The assignment of this prize is totally random, it is limited to one (1) iPhone per calendar month and is not guaranteed in any specific purchase.

Any person who buys and opens a Surprise Box during that month, in accordance with the provisions of these Terms, may be a winner. The moment the iPhone is assigned is random and is not communicated in advance. If you are a winner, it will be shown when you open the Surprise Box and the steps to follow for the delivery of the prize in accordance with the applicable conditions will be indicated.

3. WHEN DO SURPRISE BOXES EXPIRE?

By default, you can open the Surprise Boxes for a period of three (3) months from their sending. If this period elapses without you opening the surprise boxes, it will automatically expire, thus losing the right to open it and to any associated content and/or prize, without compensation or right to refund.

Exceptionally, the specific bases of certain campaigns may establish a different expiration period for the Surprise Box (including a shorter expiration). In that case, what is indicated in those bases will prevail over these Terms, and we will communicate it to you in the information and bases of the corresponding campaign.

If you open your Surprise Boxes, you will have a period of twelve (12) months to use the rewards. After this period, if you have not enjoyed the surprises, they will automatically expire, losing the right to use them, without compensation or refund.

 

ANNEX II: YOUR CASHBACK IN QOINS

Cashback in Qoins is the program that we set up by default for all Users of our App.

1. HOW DOES CASHBACK IN QOINS WORK?

With this Cashback program, by shopping through the App, you accumulate Qoins, which you can use on the checkout page as a discount on your next purchase.

To do this, you only have to activate them during the purchase process on the checkout page. You can do this when making a new purchase from the SeQura App or by accessing the merchant's checkout that offers the option to finance your purchases with SeQura.

At that time, you can decide whether you want to use them on your next purchase or save them for later. You just have to choose between the options “Use now” or “Save for later”.

Every time you choose to redeem your Qoins for discounts on your next purchase, you are expressly accepting these Terms.

ANNEX III: YOUR CASHBACK IN BITCOIN (BTC)

If you are interested in Bitcoin, here you can receive your Cashback in your own wallet. Below you will find a detailed explanation of what the Bitcoin Cashback program consists of and how you can redeem your Qoins (the SeQura balance) for Bitcoin.

Remember that to receive your cashback (in Qoins) in BTC, you will need to manually configure it in your profile in the App. Otherwise, the rewards program will be applied by default in the form of a discount on your next purchase.

For you to redeem your Qoins for BTC, you need to:

  1. Have accumulated at least 10€ in Qoins.
  2. The return period for the purchase that generated the Qoins has ended. As a general rule it is 30 days, but it may vary depending on the merchant.
  3. Have your own crypto asset wallet and confirm that you are the owner when you redeem.
  4. Be up to date with payments to SeQura.

4. WE EXPLAIN HOW THE REDEMPTION OF QOINS FOR BTC WORKS, STEP BY STEP WITHOUT COMPLICATIONS

  1. Activate the BTC option in your profile and/or by accessing the pop-ups you will find in the App.
  2. When you meet the requirements, we will notify you in the App: “Your BTC are ready to be sent to your wallet”.
  3. From that moment, you can request to receive the corresponding BTC according to your Qoins, whenever you choose.
  4. 🔒 Confirm your wallet address and, if we ask you, complete the identity verification (KYC) that we must carry out in accordance with money laundering and terrorist financing prevention regulations (AML/CFT).
  5. 🔒 To authorize sensitive operations such as the BTC transfer, as a reinforced security measure, we will ask you to enter a 6-digit PIN code. This PIN is personal: do not share it with anyone. If you think someone has used it without permission, let us know and we will block it.
  6. Once this process is finished, we will request our provider to carry out the transfer of the equivalent of your balance in Qoins in BTC, and they will send the BTC directly to your wallet.
  7. The BTC are now yours! Remember, until then, you do not have BTC. SeQura does not custody or store BTC beforehand.
  8. The value in Euros of the BTC you receive in your wallet may vary from what you visualized at the time you requested to receive your cashback in Euros. The processing time of the transfer depends on the authorized provider and external factors, such as network validation.

5. COMMISSIONS AND MINIMUMS FOR MAKING REDEMPTIONS IN BTC

Network commissions or fees for sending BTC are discounted from the amount to be transferred.

If at that moment the value of the BTC means that the operational minimum is not reached, we will indicate it to you so that you can try again when the sending is more efficient.

You can retry the sending when network conditions improve or when you reach the minimum threshold configured for the sending to be efficient (you will see it in the App and you can adjust it within technical limits).

The BTC transfer is subject to the terms and conditions and the technical availability of the external crypto asset service provider that carries out the BTC transfer.

If, by mistake, excess BTC is sent, we will compensate it by automatically adjusting your Qoins according to the value in euros at the time of the transaction. Don't worry, we will notify you if something like this happens.

6. DEADLINES

After meeting the requirements and confirming your wallet, the transfer request is made immediately, subject to the technical availability of the provider and the network.

For SeQura to be able to order its crypto asset provider to effect the BTC transfer to your wallet, SeQura will share the following personal information with this provider under the Travel Rule:

If you have already received the notification that your Qoins are available to be redeemed because all the requirements for SeQura (through a third party) to send you the BTC have been met, the process will be as fast as possible and will not expire. If you experience any problem during the sending, contact our customer service team and we will resolve it as soon as possible.
